Adrian Jones, Chief Executive Officer
Adrian is the cement that holds everything together at YourStory. He is simply the best, and is held in high regard by all those who meet him. Adrian is imaginative, practical and confident and he will not let anyone, or anything, step in the way of this organisation succeeding. Adrian’s friends call him Yoda because he’s the quiet, wise one who observes everything and never loses control!
He set up YourStory in 2002 following his earlier work mentoring young black boys in Lambeth schools. Adrian’s ability to work on an individual’s level and help them think and move forward is a natural gift that he has now passed on to all of his team.
Adrian’s mentoring and friendship has helped Darren and Andrew to get to where they are today. It has also enabled YourStory to grow rapidly and successfully. His ability to always look at the bigger picture and create sustainability in programmes benefits both individuals and communities as a whole.
Adrian is now a husband, parent, magistrate, mentor and a football club Chairman, as well as CEO of YourStory. He is a very busy man, however his ability to manage all this and still be content and happy is amazing. If you asked him if he would change it, he would reply, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
