Darren Fazackerley, Community Physical Activities Director
Darren has been at YourStory from the start, helping to build it into what it is today. For the first year Darren could be found walking around south London with a big bag of balls, cones and bibs and this is how he plied his trade! If he didn’t have a session he would go and watch top coaches, picking up tips from them and using them himself. It is his willingness to learn and his common sense that has got Darren to where he is today.
Darren's story is an amazing one. Just five years ago he left a drug rehabilitation centre and he now helps run YourStory. Darren has really taken to his role as Physical Activities Director and although it’s a new and demanding one, he has used his common sense and practical knowledge effectively to ensure that the activities are fun and enjoyable and that they are run smoothly and safely for all concerned.
Darren is also the Football Club’s top scorer, only narrowly missing out on making it three years in a row last year. Watch this space for the coming season!
